Desperately need a trigger return spring for my Webley MP in 450 Adams. It looks like this. Pieces placed roughly how it was prior to failure.

Webley MP Spring.jpg

It is 1/4" wide and the closest I am aware of that will work and in current production is the Wolff 7A. Unfortunately Wolff's export permit has expired and they cannot ship to Canada at the moment and they have no idea when it will be renewed due to covid slowing down the gov department that does this work.

Thanks if you can help.

I have a broken one as well.
Only one I have left is 3/4" on long leg and short leg is only 5/16 " long . 1/4 wide, so would be too short.
Don't have a clue what it is out of, Stevens pistol maybe.
Simple to make , but I don't have stock left anymore.

I’ve made a few small flat springs from O1 tool steel. Made a trigger return for a 1873 French revolver with O1. Grind to thickness, form (while hot preferably to limit stress), quench, temper and test. Without a heating treating oven I find it takes some practice (and a lot of failed springs) but if your bored and have a garage it doesn’t require a lot of tools to try. I’ve also seen a few designs for the French 1873, one used a lever and coil spring the other used a small torsion spring. I do realize you asked for a premade solution and apologize if this is off topic

A fellow CGN member 257Wby (thank you) set me on another CGN member Gun hog who does this kind of work. Looks like he is able to fabricate me the spring. I will report back once this develops into a smile.

Cheers to all that helped.
