I ordered this wrench and it also has a thick powder coated finish. I tried it on the flash hider and one of the two slots is just a little too small and the other is almost too big but might work. Is the slot that's almost too big designed to be that way or is that actually for the buttstock tube?

I'm officially disappointed with this wrench. The coating they applied to it makes it basically useless. I do not recommend it. The model number on Fabsports' website is NCS-TARW.
It is interesting, FAB Sports and Marstar both carry the same NC Star AR Tool (NCS-TARW), and others reported the tool works, but your tool is not.
