I recently something on the internet a guy was mentioning that his 1969 Belgian T bolt has a plastic Trigger, Front sight ramp and Magazine housing. I thought Belgian made would have been all metal?

I have a 1966 T Bolt.It has a type of alloy, anodised trigger guard, metal trigger and metal mag housing. The front sight is however plastic.A 1969 vintage T bolt should be the same.

One thing to look out for on a 69 vintage is the fact that it most likely has a "saltwood stock"so check very carefully for rust in the area where the barrel, receiver is bedded to the stock.

I took mine to the range just last night, they are fantastic rifles

My cherished, mid-60's (bought brand new:eek:) Grade II T-bolt has anodized aluminum bottom metal. Both trigger and mag release are plastic coated steel. The front sight is long gone, but recall it being plastic with a steel post. The rifle came with a single shot mag adapter.

With prefered ammo ... it drives tacks.

Mine is salt wood. This was not known to me till after the damage was done.
I full length glass bedded, and heavily sealed with polyurethane .. all good ever since. Fluid Film has kept the metal well.

Picked up an extra few mags, and glad of it too.

Battered and blueworn, ... would not part with it for all the tea in China.
