Do carbon 22LR barrels create heat mirage?

From what I understand, high calibre bolt gun shooting can create enough heat rising from the barrel that will cause mirage, which will distort your scope's sight picture... carbon barrels even more so.

Hearing that, I'd like to know if I'm shooting PRS, will I see any heat distortion in my scope coming from a 22LR carbon barrel?

(Current plan Savage B22 Precision with a Vortex Venom. Savage, because I want to buy Canadian made.)

You have to shoot waaaaay more rounds than you ever will in a 22 PRS stage to heat up a .22 barrel enough to get any mirage...

Short answer... no

for reference, a single 6mm Dasher cartridge consumes around 32 - 22LR equivalent of powder.

If the budget allows and you are thinking to move into open or a LR rimfire event, do consider another rifle to start from.
