I think there is something funny in the wording re: energy vs. muzzle velocity, you could have an airgun that fired .95 Caliber lead round balls as long as it was under 500 ft/second, you'd have quite a cannon. I wonder if any airgunnutz has tried that?

Any airgun that shoots over 500FPS AND imparts more than 4.2FPE is considered a firearm in Canada and is legally required to be registered.

Yup! Bowling balls at 490 fps, isn't a threat to babies and world peace, but a .177 pellet at 600 fps is. Bleh.

Kinda silly. Even the Brits have higher limits before they have to go on paper, at 12 ft pounds energy.

Maybe, just maybe, we'll see the end of that BS with the long gun registry down the tubes, if C301 gets through.
