Do I need Two M14's

No, you don't need two.

You should probably have about a dozen.:D

Actually, I was thinking about buying two myself. I tell myself it is in case a buddy or girlfriend wants to shoot with me, or in case I happen to wear one out.:)

If you can afford it....why not?

A while back I bought two from Dark. One for me, and one for a friend.
I dont mind paying for guns, but I hate paying for shipping, so I split the shipping costs with buddy.
Just this morning, I bought another two!
Again, one for me, (my second) and one for another friend.
So, althougth i only plan to keep two, I have bought 4 overall.
 
Since this may be the last opportunity to get them brand new, buy as many as you feel comfortable buying. Howz that for convincing? :D

I've bought four of them so far and am thinking of getting more.
 
Okay, here's the definitive answer:

Don't buy ONE ! :eek:

Buy TWO of them !! :p

Okay, more seriously, spare parts for these babies DO not exist (well, no reliable sources that I know of) so I would keep a second one for kicks and giggles.

Or maybe set up a third for our Service Rifle matches !!

The question is not whether you NEED another M-14. The question is whether you WANT another M-14. And it sounds like you do.

And what about your wife/girfriend/dog/goldfish? If they don't have one yet, then THEY need an M-14. And may want a second...

damn you guys, i was gonna say just get one but now after reading all the posts, i cant find a reason for not getting two.

i used to have 1 set up for every 250 yards up to 1000, but that was just plain silly- now i have a battery set up for 500- 4 guns- trouble is i don't have 4 eyes, and i could probably figure out a way to sync the triggers, but i also would need a small trailer
 
I just counted up how many m-14 type rifles I've personally owned ... the number is around 5 DOZEN. Right now I have three ... one for shooting, one target, and one shorty.
Do I need that many??

What has need got to do with guns any how?

You might not even need one in the first place.

Yet you do, so the logic follows, you have one, you need two.

By that same logic, I need two as well, but I too have only one. I knew there was something wrong and it is that it defies logic. I even have a credit card.

I'm sorting this out in the AM.
