Do Promag mags still suck?

Everything i've read seems to indicate that they should be avoided like the plague, is this still true?
Has anyone taken a chance on them recently, or got some positive feedback on them?

While i'm not planning on relying on mags, having a couple would be handy i think, and Tapco seem pretty pricey (with the exception of Fabsports) compared to the identical looking Promags....

Any feedback?

I got five Tapco mags from Fabsports, for my SKS-D, and after some fitting (needed to grind a few spots), they work perfectly. I'm quite happy on the "bang for buck" side of things. I can't speak for the regular SKS though, 'cause I don't have Tapco mags for it. Promag: no first hand experience but only read bad reviews about them. Mind you apparently they may have redesigned their SKS mag?
