I don't know for hunting but i can tell you the factory Federal Classic load using Sierra Pro-Hunter 180 grainers is a sub MOA regular performer in one of my Enfields.
I'm going to try it in my LongBranch soon.
PP.

I shot a deer in the spine with a 180g Sierra out of a #1. It died and the bullet went out the other side leaving a good wound channel. I would shoot a moose with one, I would also shoot a moose with the Remington 180g round nose.

We loose track of how much game has been taken with these bullets over the years now that so many super bullets are out there but the fact is the Sierras are great bullets and usually shoot very accurately.

I'd suggest you stay away from light for caliber bullets in the Sierra line if moose are your quarry. They tend to be VERY accurate bullets, but a little fragile, so more weight helps penetration on something the size of moose. 180 gr. is good in the .303 but I'd be cautious when using 150 gr. on anything but perfect broadside moose shots. Sierra makes really good deer and target bullets IMHO.
