Mixed up my CZ mags and all are unmarked and click nicely into both my CZ 75 SP-01 in 9 mm and also my CZ 75b in.40. Does that seem right?

Yes, frame sizes are basically identical so magazines will lock into both. Typically feed lips are wider on .40 magazines. Throw in some 9mm and they'll look about ready to pop out of the top.

A 9mm will pop right back out of my 40 mags if you try to load one. They are genuine CZ mags. I understand the European mags work fine with both.

My Jericho .40 mags hold up to 15 9mm, but it's tight. They feed fine in my NZ85B; flawless. However, .40 will not feed out of the 9mm mags in the Jericho; but they fit in just fine. I have a CZ .40 mag and it is fine in the jericho, and was about 1/2 the price of a jericho mag.

I tried a CZ75 mag and worked fine in my 2 Jericho's, they are 9mm, I have a 40 ruger that works with 9mm, hold open don't work.

I think you mean 75. I miss type occasionally myself. :>)

The only mags I have had consistent luck with are the Beretta 9MM/40 cal. The mags are virtually identical. My CZ/Tanfanglio magswere not 100 % reliable when running 9MM in 40 cal mags. I know some have had better luck then others.

For my Shadow 2 the black follower 9mm mags Are OEM CZ and the blue follower 9mm are Mecgar. Not sure if that helps with the .40 mags.

My understanding is that MecGar uses the exact same body for both 9mm and .40 magazines. Just different markings and the follower stops at a different spot.

If Bullseye London sells this: Mec-Gar CZ 75B/SP-01 Magazine, .40 S&W, 10 Round, Steel Blued, MGCZ4010B

then they must be the same - not even similar, but the same, as the SP-01 does not really come in .40?

yes, crazy, just noticed now Thanks both are 75 i can't find any difference in the mags

Check the width of the mag lips. The mag bodies maybe the same but the mag lips maybe slightly wider for the .40cal. The Beretta mags are identical and the CZ mags I have are close to identical as it pertains to the lips. Last time I tried them I could get the 9MM cartridges to load but it didn't take much to have them all bounce out either.

The only time I use the .40cal mags is when I am practicing with my CX4 Carbine. Just allows for more shooting and a little less time spent reloading. Other than for practicing, having more than 10 rds in my guns has no practical value as the shooting sports I do all limit me to ten rounds plus one in the chamber.
