Do you de lube your case after sizing and how

I’m with HoytCanon. I use One Shot for everything. Works very well! I set my cleaned cases in the reloading tray and spray lightly on an angle from each side with a small amount directed into the case. I usually give it 5 minutes to “dry...ish” while I’m setting up the die and get to work. The one shot I. The die works like a charm. However, if you do lube the cases and go do something else for an hour or two then best to re-lube. I got my first stuck case ever a few weeks back with a 416 Rem Mag case when I left the bench to put the kids to sleep and came back to do some resizing but didn’t put any more lube on the cases. Stuck!! Got to try out the RCBS stuck cases remover, lol. Bottom line is to “never forget to use lube”

Using carbide dies I've never lubed pistol cases & never had a problem. I lube my rifle cases with the lanolin based Lee case lube. It's not greasy like some of the petroleum based lubes and to remove it I just swish the cases around for 20-30 seconds in lacquer thinner. Dissolves the lube instantly and then I dump them on a towel for 1/2 hour to let the thinner evaporate (do this outdoors unless you want to get high). :sok2

Change your lube. I was using Imperial BioGreen case lube but it was very hard to wipe off. I switch lube to Imperial sizing wax, it’s great it wipes off very easily as you use so little. I have started wiping this wax on a lube pad as this application method work great too.

Getting high isn't near the worry I would have. One spark near lacquer thinner vapour and WHOOSH if not WHOOSH - BOOM. That stuff is incredibly volatile. Highly dangerous in closed quarters.

I got lazy a few years back and started using One Shot... it gets a bad rap but I have never had a problem (10's of thousands of rounds loaded)... clean brass, drop in a pail, spray with One Shot, swirl bucket, spray with One Shot, swirl bucket, size and prime brass, load powder & bullet, seat... done... no second cleaning after lubing, only seconds to prepare and far less handling... more shooting.

X2 for me, no issue.

I used to tumble with walnut after sizing to remove lube. Worked fine but sometimes left dusty residue, which I blamed on dusty walnut.
Switched completely to wet tumbling with stainless pins since, half an hour after sizing as well.
Alcohol wipes if less than 100 pieces of brass to process.

Do you add the media lube with the walnut? I have never had dust with my dry tumbler.

Zero dust with my dry tumbler
Either corncob or walnut, i use a cap of nu finish with every load.

To the OP
Pistol brass needs no lube in my progressive, since i dry tumble with nu finish, glides in the dies
Rifle brass, lubed with dillon lanolin type, loaded with single stage. Wipe every casing with a shop towel after sizing.

I wipe them off with an alcohol soaked rag, dry’s quickly, and leaves them squeaky clean. I bought a 4 litre jug and have been using it for over three years ( thousands of cases )

Same, I use 99% rubbing alcohol and a blue shop towel. Fast and easy, effective and actually keeps the brass looking clean. Also not a hazardous chemical, it's rubbing alcohol.

I wet tumble after sizing and decapping lubed pistol cases, then into the oven while the next batch washes

Works extremely well for me. I dry media vibratory clean for an hour before they get lubed and full length resized. I only give them a half hour in the vibe after sizing to get the lube off. The lube collects on the media and keeps the dust down to pretty much zero after a couple of hundred lubed cases get run through.

For pistol rounds, I spray them with brake cleaner and roll them back and forth in a towel. Rifle cases are just wet tumbled after sizing, as I do the initial cleaning with brake cleaner and a strainer to get them clean enough to size, but not shiny.

There is a roll of paper towel over my bench for this purpose. Each and every sized case gets good wipe down before moving on to the next step. If this seems difficult, try using a different lube. You absolutely do not want to fire shells with lube on them still....
