I have a GLock 17C on the way and now I'm thinking I should have bought a SP-01 instead. Why I don't know.
 
All the time. Usually I just shoot off the remaining ammo I have and sell it if I don't like it. Look at it like "renting" the firearm for a couple months.......
 
all the time.... I rarely ever end up keeping a gun more than a couple of months. I am easily bored, and I want to try every kind of gun. Makes for a lot of purchases and sales :rolleyes:
 
As Murray Gardner said to me once when I mentioned about regretting buying a certain handgun..."Sell it....you're not married to it!" ;)
Buying handguns is like searching for the Holy Grail....
 
All the time, especially a man. married with this woman and look at the other woman. Anyhow Glock 17c is a great gun and you should not feel this way. What you really need to do is to buy the SP 01 later.

LOL I thought I was the only "renter"... I made a list of all the firearms I have "owned" two days ago: 22 (9 restricted 13 non-restricted)

I have yet to find one firearm that is a definite keeper - Glocks are close to being that for me, it's just too bad they are restricted; The Benelli M2 is a almost a keeper except I scratched my current one (damn shame) because now it is driving me crazy. I see it and it just brings bad feelings :( (will post it in the forum later this month for a decent discount from new).

In regards to original poster - I agree with your gut feeling, but only because I would have got a Glock 22/31 instead (You can get a 9mm conversion for it to shoot 9mm if that's your thing). But, Glocks are great handguns - I've owned a CZ before and they are nice, but I prefer the Glock.

:D Shoot it, Enjoy it, then sell it and get something else... one mans garbage is another mans treasure :D

You'll know you have truly achieved 'renter' status, when you have bought and
sold the SAME gun a total of three times! ( And this has happened on more
than one occaision!)

Second guess

All the time as well, I'm in good company with the rest of you guys. I think if I would have bought one gun and stuck with it , I would have been a great shot, never kept a gun long enough to get used to it.

I haven't hit three times. But, two times, I've bought the same gun twice. Two USP 9mms and two Mark 23s.
 
Don't worry about it. That's how you gain experience and develop your own taste in guns. Besides, in this day and age where you seldom have an opportunity to try before you buy, how can you not have a little buyer's regret once in a while.

I have yet to sell a gun I've bought. Not that I love them all, but it's only a small collection & most of them see use once & a while.
Unless I really hate a gun or know I'll never use (ever), I'll just keep it to keep the others company :)
 
buy both... hehehe...

unfortunately here in Canada, its not always easy to go to a range and rent them all out to try before commiting...

ahh what the hell buy both !!! hehehe

Ok this made me laugh...

4 Norinco SKS's (not all at once of course)
3 Remington 870's
2 Glock 37's (Believe it or not! I figure this one counts as "renter" status since not many would by an odd-caliber handung twice):D

Oh yeah! I am a renter and proud!!
I guess it's what the financially challenged do to satisfy/simulate the "Gun Collector" in all of us ...heheheh.
