Do you own one or more redundant rifles?

Redundant or Spare?

A few decades back, I bought a WWII German tank plastic model kit at a gun show. The seller happily told me that as a "typical German," he had originally bought 3 identical kits: one to build and one for spare parts if needed. The third kit was the backup of the backup, just in case it was needed for additional-additional spares. He successfully built the tank model without needing the 3rd kit, so he had it for sale on his table, next to his Mausers. In conversation, I learned that he had once been a Wermacht tank mechanic.

I have several pairs of nearly identical rifles, sometimes one with a scope and the other with a peep. Nothing like a "spair."
