do you remove oneshot lube on 9mm brass before firing?

I tried resizing with carbide die on clean cases without lube... sticks quite a bit. So I sprayed them a bit with one shot lube.

DO you guys remove it before firing? If you leave it on, it kind of cooks on the case, will it accumulate crap inside the gun chamber?
 
I wouldnt' worry too much about it. I've never noticed any problems using it in my guns. That said, I usually give my brass a short stint in the vibratory cleaner after it's reloaded, just to get rid of the gunky film for longer term storage. Sifting loaded cartridges out of media takes no time at all.
 
Not sure why you'd want to lube pistol brass.

The basic answer to your question is that there should NEVER be any lube on the case when it goes into the chamber. Part of the recoil equation is the brass expansion to grip the chamber wall. Lube can greatly increase the thrust on the bolt or slide which will eventually damage the gun.
 
Both the Lee Modern Reloading manual and my Dillon XL 650 user manual recommend lubing pistol cases when used with carbide dies in order to prevent galling and just to make things go easier on your press and on you. According to Lee, this becomes especially important for those of us who like to clean our cases really well *cough*. Modern reloading goes as far as to suggest spaying cases with furniture polish. Keep in mind we aren't talking a lot here... a microscopic film is adaquate.

I've tried them with lube and without, and it makes a huge difference in the amount of force needed to operate your press, particularly for the resizing die. I've also shot cartridges with an almost detectable film of lube on them, and I've not noticed a difference shooting them either. The amount of lube we're talking about is equal to the oil left by a few finger prints. I doubt that finger prints on cartridges would make them dangerous to fire.
 
i rarely lube my pistol brass (i reload 38/357, 45acp and 9mm) the only one i lube every 10th, 20th round would be 9mm. i use rem oil on it. i don't clean them off after, no cooking.
 
that one shot wax lube is a POS imo.....
Did 223 brass yesterday with mobil 1, GOD that was slick. just dump 200 brass in a pan, wet your hands with oil, and move it all around.
Most effortless full size resize ever.
(wet cleaning after to remove oil)

Might do the same to 9mm, with REALLY just a bit of oil to barely get them oiled. Just use a rag after to remove oil.

Problem with the sticky wax crap spray is that 1- it doesnt glide like crap, 2-it sticks like hell and cant be easily cleaned.
 
I dont lube the caes with a carbide die at all. I do sprat a little "Jig-a-loo extreme graphite" into the resizing die every 1000 rounds or so and it works well for me

sounds like a good idea to me. will try.

My issue is that I resize squeaky clean cases so they stick...
