Do you shoot targets other than trap/skeet at the range?

Do you shoot targets other than trap/skeet at the range? Last time I was at the range shooting my rifle there were a couple guys with shotguns shooting these birdfeeder/lantern looking targets on the ground with their shotguns. They also had a target stand with paper targets setup.

Yes, my 12.5 or 18.5" barrelled 870 aren't the best trap / skeet guns but work well with slugs or buckshot.

Yeah ... besides Trap & Skeet, 5-Stand, Make-a-Break, Crazy Quail, 2-Man Flush, Sporting & "Skrap" ... but all clay targets.

Awfull tempted with the odd crow that flies over a little low, though !

At the range, it is nothing but clays. In my back yard, I like potatoes, apples and zucinni and whatever else my wife is willing to throw for me.

Would they let you shoot pumpkins in one of the ranges if you asked? Or is that only on special occasions.

Likewise, steel falling targets, with any load actually, though for the far out targets its slug or buck. Rams and chickens are fun

I've been known to use my 12 gauge & # 2 shot to cut down a Christmas tree for the holiday's. But my favorite target (using slugs) is a milk jug filled with water and food colouring
