Hi all,

I posted a thread a while ago in the 'wilderness' forum about what to do with used cooking oil. Best response seemed to be 'bait for bear hunting'

I don't have a lot - maybe 4 gallons. Not rancid but did its duty for donuts and then fish and chips!

If someone wants it, I can meet you at Bass Pro Vaughn on a Sunday afternoon and you can have it.

Not sure if that's worth your gas money but thought I would ask!

Is there a bio-fuel producer around , they use the stuff.

Good offer, Plenty of people use it for bear baits. I have a friend who pours a little on the bait site trees and lots on the ground in front of the bait so the Bears track it back into the bush for others to follow back to the bait site.
