Hi guys...
Has any one here ever tried doall tool-saver as a bullet lube? I was at a cowboy match a few weeks ago and one of the shooters was telling me about this stuff. I picked some up yesterday in Saskatoon. The MSDS sheet shows it is made of parrafin wax, mineral oil and carnubba wax. It sounds like it should work for a smokeless lube but I just wanted to see if any one else has tried it.
Thanks!!!

I havn't used it yet but sure have thought about it, should flow without heat in a lubrisizer.

Post your results if you give it a try.

Guys here were just talking about this last week. I think they mix it in some proportion with beeswax for lube.

Well I managed to get out to the range last night.... shot approx. 60 rounds of 45/70 with Doall Tool-saver as a lube. I was shooting a 405 Lee bullet sized to .460. This is a non gas checked bullet. I had them loaded up to approx 1600 - 1700 fps. ...very little leading. I think next time I may add some beeswax to it to make it a little bit thicker. Lubed up some 255 SWC bullets that I am going to try in my Marlin 45LC. I will post the results.
