Was just wondering if any of the gen4 Glock owners use the MBS backstraps? When I first got my gen4, I just kind of tucked the backstraps away in the case and forgot about them.

After shooting it a few times I realized my finger was way over the trigger, so I tried the medium backstrap. The grip was ok, but my finger hit the trigger in a more natural position, but still not perfect. I then tried the large, and admittedly it felt a bit big for my hands, but my reach for the trigger felt perfect. The true test was shooting, and I felt a lot more comfortable shooting, and got slightly tighter groupings. Never really thought these would make that much of a difference. Just a bit of a pain in the ass to swap at the shooting bench at the range, but worth trying.

Anyone else have any experiences with them?

nope don't use them. I must have short thumbs as I find I have to roll the gun to get the mag release in a position I can use it. The backstraps make it worse.

Yeah, I had a friend shoot it with the large backstrap on and he couldn't drop the mag, but was fine with the grip otherwise.

I guess Glocks were really never known for their great grips. At least the MBS is a step in the right direction.

Wow, I came across an old thread. For what it's worth, I started with the large, but now I use the medium backstrap on my G17 and found it provides an excellent grip.
I will experiment further.

####ty backstraps. I agrree with Larry Vickers when he says glock should have taken a better look at what smith n wesson was doing with the m&p series.

I don't. Can't use them if you use a plug for the pesky little hole next to the magwell.

I had the med sized ones on my G17 and G19, both Gen 4's, and they worked great. The Jentra plugs worked fine and were very secure, just need to drill another hole in the plug to get it to fit right. Only took a few minutes.

I don't use them; gen4 feels perfect as is which is why I much prefer them over gen3. I also like how it is one piece grip (with 'small' grip option) unlike M&P, HK or other guns.
