Hello,Well i was on my way home tonight from workand usally scout a few fieldson the way home. And came across a doe being chased by a huge buck i watched him for about 25 min,and just guessing he would have to run in the high 190 typical range, be for he chased her into one large bluff, and i have permission to hunt this land.i was thinking if this doe is still in heat how long would she stay in heat ,because he would not leave her side at any cost .I was able to get with in 60 yards to have a realy good look .And still can NOT sleep!!!Hoping he will be in the area tomorrow. So my ? is how long will a doe stay in heat?

Is hunting season still on in your area? I believe they are in heat for 24-36 hours. If they are not bred in that time, they come back into heat about 28 days later. After 2 or 3 times, if still not bred, they don't come around until the following fall. This is why sometimes you will see young fawns in June or early July. It depends on when the doe was bred.
Just my .02 cents worth. I could be totaly wrong.
