Does a 2011 with 140mm mags fit in the IPSC box?

I'm looking at buying a STI marauder 2011 in 9mm, 3 gun is my game but I also shoot IPSC.

I'm not concerned about shooting minor in standard but I don't know if the gun will fit in the box. It comes with 140mm mags, STI makes shorter mags but I don't know if they would work with the "tactical" magwell.

Any advice would be appreciated

Some have hard time fitting the 126mm....
The mag well on that gun look to me like they would work with the 126mm length mags just fine

Nope to what, won’t fit the box or will not work with tactical magwell?

OP
I have owned a few standard guns
140mm mags will definitely not fit the box
These basepads did fit the box on 126mm mags

Was running STI magwells and it worked, i presume tactical magwell is cut to same specs with 2 slots on sides to remove a jammed mag. I said presume, as i never handled one with tactical well.

Another thing to consider, marauder has got novak sights.
On a single stack i have owned, the novak was protruding more than my bomars.

Worst case scenario get only 1 mag and 1 pad, make a box test.
If ever you shoot a match in ottawa area let me know, if im also shooting i can bring my box

140mm mags won’t let any 2011 fit the IPSC Standard box. 126mm work great in the Marauder in the standard box. The tactical magwell was, in fact - designed for the 126 mags, offering space to reach in and pull a mag out should it become jammed (STI was thinking of sand in the desert at the time) I’d recommend getting some aluminum angled bases for the 126s - they still fit the box but give you a little extra room to help seat the mags under the pressure of competition.

Oh, and when you buy the Marauder, (whether from us or one of our dealers) you can specify 126mm mags to come with it - we'll happily make the swap before it leaves the shop.
