I have inherited my father in laws cooey 600 rifle which he bought to kill coyotes that were decimating his young cattle and he claims it is excetionally accurate, which makes me want to give it a second life for rabbit hunting...
It has been neglected for at least a decade and the bolt needs a good cleaning!...does anyone know how it comes apart?...
I cant find any info online...
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

mkrainc - thanks for posting this. I've stickied the thread.
All Cooey bolts disassemble in a similar manner, except for the extractors in single shots. They require prying, levering and prayer. Best to have a replacement on hand.

Here's a good video on taking apart the striker and if you don't have to take the striker apart don't they don't drill exactly straight and they are filled flat with the bolt so just finding the pin is hard enough let alone removing it.
