Does anyone have a 10/22 that shoots this well?

But I can easily get 1" 5 shot groups @ 50 yds. with the 2x7 scope on it now. I'm going to take Hoytcannon's recommendations and pick up either a Meuller or Hawke with more magnification and see how that helps? My "biggest" scope is 3x9, quite eager to try more power:D. I also just shoot off the range "bags"- inner tubes full of sand; one assumes proper bags would be a help as well? Grouse with a red dot is more my style-that and hitting a propane tank at 200yds at the range while bigger rifles cool off:) THWACK and 1 and "ping!" hehehehe!
 
so if he replaced the receiver, the barrel, the, stock and the trigger, what was left of the original 10/22? what's the point? why not just buy all the parts and assemble it together to start with.
 
It is a parts gun no doubt.

The only thing ruger on that gun is the trigger. He appears to be a fan of those but given the aftermarket options, a guy could do much better.

I love the 1/4" 50yd groups with dynapoint!!!
 
Aside from the suppressor, a Dlask Arms DAR-22 would be very similar in performance. I would like to see the group size done by averaging 10 x 5 shot groups at least. One hero group doesn't mean that it is repeatable. I have one group shot with my project Savage Mk.II using Eley Sport ammo that was around 0.120" at 50yds, but that doesn't mean it will do that every time. It averages more like 0.350"-0.400" with that ammo under good conditions and I would never claim it is always capable of the 0.120" group.

Ironically... if you are looking for accuracy the trigger is the "first" thing you should replace... BEFORE, the barrel, stock OR bolt... That and good glass are the first two facets of shooting small groups... and barrel shortly after.

You beat me to it. It is really funny to see what people go through (Money and effort) to get...basically an out of the box Marlin 60. :D Mine has a Cheap 3X9 rimfire on it. It does what this guy did at 100 m over and over...... until I get bored! With commercial HP rounds that is!

No, and neither does he. A factory trigger group does not a 10/22 make. A Ruger component is probably holding-back the rest of that gun accuracy-wise.

I'd have the same thing to say about that. Comparing a Marlin 60 to a Franken-Ruger is apples and oranges. Marlin seems to get their guns to come-out of the factory pretty accurate. My $100 795 just underwent some tweaking by an experienced set of hands (only replaced part was 1 spring I think) and this rifle is an absolute tack driver now. Was way better than my 10/22 was before the work....no a minute-of-pop can gun like my 10/22 was. Maybe I got a stinker of a Ruger, but I don't plan on every buying another.
