Does anyone have any experience with the Remington V3

Hey Redlight35, its an oversimplification to call the V3 a scaled down Versamax. It offers all of the main features of a Versamax in a smaller package. It only takes up to 3" shells, it offers the same gas port system and self cleaning pistons as the Versamax but is close to a full pound lighter. They rebuilt the V3 from the ground up.

Is the v3 comparable to any other semi auto 3in shotgun in the same price range? Is it considered a great buy?
95% of the info about it looks like propaganda! Definitely interested into an owner's opinion

I have 120 rounds through mine, 100 on the sporting clays course with target loads and 20 assorted shells 2-3/4 and 3". So far it's been flawless, eats everything I put in it. Now just waiting for duck season to give it a workout in the mud!

The versamax is a way over priced Heep. When they first come out the machining was akin to the quality of an 870 express.

I would have to disagree with you Winchested. I bought a versamax tactical when it first came out and it was my skeet gun for a while. I thought it was built great and I'm kicking myself in the ass for selling it.

Ya and I bought a versamax 28" black synthetic and it was the worse put together gun I've ever owned. Nothing on the gun was machined straight, the fiber bead was pinned offset on the rib. There was machining marks all over it. And the finish wasn't very good at all. The stocks were nice with the rubber grips molded into them. It did shoot not to bad either but like I stated finish quality was poor.

inspect before you buy. mine is finished just fine for a bird gun. best of all its ultra reliable. shoots any cheap shell if you just wanna have fun shooting clays. including win universals that stop many other semis, like my buddys benelli. recoil with 3 inch goose loads cannot be beat. the v3 is aimed at the lighter weight and 3 inch gun market. think pheasant hunting. the versamax is one of the best waterfoul guns made. plenty of guys will hate on them till kingdom come cause its not a b gun and don't say made in Italy on it.

I only hate on it because it's not even comparable to B gun quality and they are trying to get B gun money for them. For gas operated semis if they fit the sx2, sx3 and browning gold/silver/maxus is the best quality that money can buy.
