Does anyone know where to get this scope part?

Looking desperately for a sunshade for my Bushnell Elite Tactical XRS 4.5-30x50 Mil-Dot - ET4305. I contacted Bushnell and was assured one would be immediately put in the mail for me. Months went by and no sunshade. Contacted Bushnell again and was assured a sunshade was in the post and in Canada. More months went by and then was assured a sunshade was on back order for me. I'm starting to see a trend here ! I would much prefer it if Bushnell would just fess up to the fact that my sun shade doesn't currently exist in inventory and I won't be getting one any time soon (or ever )
I know they exist, as they are listed as packaged with the scope when new. Given that my scope is an older Japanese manufactured Bushnell of relatively high quality, and fairly expensive, I would hope some inventory of spares would be maintained by the manufacturer.
Anyways end of rant...does anyone here know of a source ? (I have tried many on-line retailers, parts suppliers etc. to no avail.)

depending on thread pitch, you can try amazon for a generic 50mm sunshade.

Thanks for the reply, looked there also, nothing would fit. My objective bell O.D. is 58mm and the I.D. is 54.77mm, I have no idea how to measure the thread pitch inside the bell, but it is very fine. Vortex, other Bushnell, Leupold, Hawke...and various others, none fit.

M58 has an ID of 54.7 but thread gauges would be best!

You could try machining or 3d printing one. I think the OEM route is a dead end.
If you found a 50 (or similar) mm sunshare you could also make a step-up ring similar to camera lenses.

You can use a cheap generic sunshade.

In a fit of desperation while waiting for Bushnell, I found a wet-dry vacuum cleaner plastic pipe with a flared end which went over the scope bell and friction tightened perfectly. Run it on the lathe to smoothen it out and get rid of the ornamental finish. Here it is:

The thread is usually 0.7 mm, a standard for camera filter lenses...
I like the ideas above, years ago would save me a lot of frustration and money for tubes now laying in my drawers.

If that works for the ones we need, I've always thought it would be useful to have a polarizing filter, maybe a yellow or a UV filter for different lighting conditions.

I found one that matched my ID for my 8-32x44 Tasco. But was a little too small, so I took a punch and on the inside of the shade hit it, forcing it out.

Threads on perfect. Doesn't mess up the threads on the scope.
