Yes the barrels will interchange.... BUT make sure your changing the same type barrels.... A Mossberg 8 shot Persuader 500 barrel will not fit on the Maverick 88 6 shot hunting barrel model... But will fit on the Maverick 88 security.....
If your just switching barrel from a Mossberg 500 hunting model to a Maverick field model then the will interchange... They are the same thing....
