Everything I see is 1000+fps. Anyone know about what is available in this power range? Want a not so loud pelletgun that is well made and powerful enough for rabbits and squirels at moderate ranges. Remember seeing them in the 600-800fps years ago, but never had any interest then. Springer or pcp. Thanks, Rob.

I would suggest Airgun Source as a starting place. You can find the Air Arms line up and you will find either a PCP or Springer with the velocity you want. They also carry the FX line-up and while not cheap the quality of the FX and Air Arms line surpasses that of most powder burners!!!! Some of the models have adjustable power settings so you can make it fit your needs. Weihrauch also makes models that are superior quality that fit your criteria.

I own an Air Arms Tx200 that is amazing and a buddy has the weihrauch HW97 and it's also outstanding. My current PCP rifle is a Rapid Air Weapons TM1000 (they make a hunting version) but I've also owned an air arms PCP rifle and the quality is outstanding. Speak with travis at airgun source, he'll take the time to make sure you get what you want.

Good catch. Im not up on the airgun world(as you can likely tell). Springer and pcp were the only distinction i thought i knew. Kinda like black people and white people. I'll call co2 asian people then. Thanks again guys. The diana 34 does seem quite appealing too.

Checkout the U.S. air gun site www.straightshooters.com . Their staff do their own "Our Take" reviews on all the models they carry and sell. Great resource.
Also check out Specialty Shooting Sports and D & L Airguns , both Canadian.

Specialty Shooting Sports in BC is by far the cheapest place to get air rifle in Canada IMO. Get German made Weirauch or RWS/Diana springer.I have both a RWS34/.22 and a HW80K .22 Anything under 25lbs is killable.Forget the velocity craze anything between 600-800 fps in .22 is all you need.shot lots of grouse ,rabbits, crows and gophers.Along with several large porkies. Before the rant begins they are a pest in AB and can be shot at any time as they destroy trees like you wouldn't believe.Harold..........velocities are never near what the manufacturers claim they are just selling speed.

I'll add another plug for the Diana 34 in either caliber. And yes, I own one in .177 that's been very good to me. Alot of air rifle for the money. Reliable, accurate. But the squirrels really hate it. If bought new, you get the lifetime warranty.

I've bought a Benjamin Trail NP All Weather non-PAL from D&L Aiguns, great people to deal with and cheaper than Cdn Tire.
What you want would probably be the PAL rated version.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I recommend the NP version. It's quieter than a springer and has less vibration.
