I was wondering because Marstar seems to be consistently out of stock. It's a nice looking rifle too, along the lines of their famous Mauser K98 copy.

They do build a bolt action that resembles a K-98, is that what your thinking of? If so my friend owns one and he likes it. The action is a knock off of the CZ 452 and will accept the same magazines, though it's not as smooth.

I was mentioning that the JW-14 looked like a semi-auto paramilitary rifle that resembled their famous 98 copy.

It does look like an M1 carbine, but MORE like a K43/G43 (because an M1 does not have a tangent site). It also looks like Norinco uses parts from the 98 copy (JW-25 and JW-25A) in this rifle.

EDIT: From looking at the action, it looks to be a Squires Bingham 20 copy.

Skirsons, are you looking at making a G43 clone? Because that would be pretty groovy

Well it's tempting. But I think I might be done with custom projects for a while. Mostly I just wanted to know if any of them ever made it into the country. Every time I talked to Marstar they were waiting for them. It would be an easier project though I think... just cut a sling hole, throw on a scope and maybe make a magazine shroud and cupped butt-plate.

perhaps...but I did say M1 Carbines...not aware of any .22 M1 Carbines.

You're right...I missed the part where you specified M1 and thought you were talking about the JW14 that the original thread starter was asking about.

Not interested in the M1 currently, but curious about the JW14.
