I picked up a surplus Polish 26.5mm flare gun and it seems to be awesome. I was reading online of guys in the US reloading 26.5 with flares or plastic projectiles. Is this something that is done up here? Since I can’t find any information on it, I’m wondering if it’s a no-no.

I would love to load some of those plastic projectiles. They look like they would be fun to shoot, something tells me if it was legal to do someone would have spoke up that they do it.

Maybe you want to go that route or just get the 12ga adapter? Harold

The 12ga adapter is smaller at the one end so you can't put 12ga 2 3/4 bear bangs or anything rubber shot. It works for shooting 12ga marine flares only. I would rather shoot smoke or some rubber projectile.

I believe that its fairly common for people to shoot plastic practice projectiles out of the 37mm flare guns, so you would think that it would be OK for 26.5mm flare guns as well.

I haven't run into anyone reloading 37mm up here in Canada. I have seen the launchers and sub-cal inserts but no realia song supplies.

Hate to bring up dead topics but I was wondering if anyone has gotten into reloading 26.5mm yet. I've only made 2 types of rounds as of yet. Anyone with experience?

Dead topic but still close to my heart. I have managed to pick up some milled shells and have been using them. Still very interested in more information if anyone has it.

I made a semi functioning chalk round and an inert training round for the RV-85. haven't gotten around to making anything else yet, although will be getting into smoke eventually.
