I was thinking about buying a BORS for my Barrett Mrad to go on my Leupold 4.5-20x50 does anyone out there have any trigger time with them?

I have one on my 223. Had some issues with the on/off button. You must remove the battery, even when the BORS is off. It still draws power, even when turned off. Had to get US state Dept approval to return it to the US for warranty work. I use it for gophers. They are in trouble at any range. A high quality range finder is a must, of course.

One more thing. Barrett recommends locktite on the screw on the elevation turret. I omitted this on mine an it came back to bite me. Now I check the tiny set screw fairly often to assure its tight. The elevation turret went from crisp clips to mushy over time, and I didn't notice it. To the point the elevation was not moving at all. Also dial back to zero, before you turn of the BORS.

There is a tiny set screw on the side of the elevation turret. This is where Barrett specified locktite. Although the top torx screw should also be snug. Barrett supplies Allen wrenches for both screws.
