Does Henry have the most affordable lever action rimfire?

I think they do. I had a Winchester 9422 for a few years, shot it a handful of times. Never liked the weight, the effort to clean...and it couldn't touch my bolts (Savage and Anschutz) for accuracy. Unsolicited opinion on levers :) so I don't keep-up on what they're selling for.

Norinco's go for less, but they're hard to find, and quality can be touch and go. I've seen some really nice ones, and I've heard of some really crappy ones.

Yeah Norinco has the cheapest one I think, but $280.00 isn't bad either.

Here's the sold out Marstar listing @ $198

Of all the Henry guns I've handled, none of them were junk. For all the people that complain about the Henry US Survival rifle's reliability, I just put 500 rounds down mine without a single jam and only one FTF, which could have been the ammo. These guys don't peddle junk and I kind of wish I got my 30-30 lever in Henry and not Winchester.

I had a bad experience with Henry rifles. I bought two (one for me and one for my father) and both of them we're returned to the company because at 7m it would at 3" @ 10 o'clock from the center. At 25m it was 10" at 10 o'clock.

I had heard only good things but I got 2 bad shooters the only time I bought them. Instead I went for a CZ for my father and a SR-22 for me.

Browning BLR22 seems a lot better but the price is higher too.

I think that Henry has its good and bad points. For me:

Good Points
- Smooth as silk action
- Tube feed magazine
- Price
Man, and the wood they use is outstanding!

Bad Points
- The painted receiver make the rifle look cheap!
- Plastic barrel bands

I dunno. Personally if the plastic barrel bands and the painted receiver disappeared, I would have more of these little rifles
