I have a CP-99.. like this:

And i spend a lot of time target shooting in the basement, i was looking for some nice pellets once, and came across Orange Stinger .177 that looks like that :

they looked really interesting, and since they are led free i figured they suppose to pierce what ever regular pellets can't, So i get a box..
Once they came i got really pissed, turns out they are too long for the magazine, and can only be used in single shoot airguns.
So i started thinking ... at first i came up with the idea... to stick them straight in to the barrel, and insert an empty mag.. it worked ,but was slow and uncomfortable.. So i came up with another way.. wich i still find usefull !!

Load the mags with regular ammo ,exept for one pellet(which replased by Stinger ammo), like this :

Then #### the empty gun FIRST and insert the magazine, aligning oversized pellet with the barrel like this:

So this way every first shoot of each mag brings bigger damage to the table:?))

you could try the SKENCO line. There is a white short one in the picture.
You could load them all in.

I heard that the half plastic with a metal head pellets like skenco's aren't very good. They are designed for rifles.

But thats a lot of trouble to go through just to shoot one with a pistol. On some pistols that won't even work because the pistol cycles the clip before firing.

There are also light, lead-free Raptor pellets from Gamo.

I think those pellets are mainly used for hunting.... you aren't hunting with that cp99, are you?


try cutting a little bit off the plastic skirt

They are faster, but have almost no force behind them, as they are soo light.
I will have to try the ones I got in my 92FS.

well no.. i dont use it for hunting.. 360 fps is only good for hunting cockrouches :?)))

As for those pellets they go through aluminum targets unlike led pellets that colapse on impact, leaving a dent. So i agree they are good for hunting.
