Does it worth to buy VZ 58 7.62?

Since I didn't find magical "Yes, post a poll" check box I would like to ask you guys to help me deciding does it worth to purchase VZ 58 in 7.52 or not. Reading about all complaints and malfunctions of VZ 58 in 7.62 and 5.56 I'm asking myself this question and don't find an answer :confused:
Pleeeease help me :D
 
You should buy one in 7.62.. Most of the issues you hear about are with CSA in 5.56..
So if you want non restricted, buy a CZ 858.. You will not be disappointed.
Lots of upgrades available, and there is even a way to use 10rd mags.. It's a no-brainer.. :)

New CSA VZ 58 or used CZ 858?

You won't find any CZ858s from retailers, as they are not being imported anymore. Your only hope for a CZ is finding a used one in the Equipment Exchange, and at the price people want for them, you should just throw in a couple more bucks and buy a brand new CSA VZ58 non-restricted in 7.62.

Post an ad in Equipment Exchange that you are looking for a new or like new CZ 858..
You will get bunch of hits, then ask for detailed pictures and make sure it is in mint LNIB condition,
Or you can even find local sellers and go check it out..

That's a valid point. Does used CZ 858 so much better then VZ 58? Or new VZ 58 is better?

I prefer the CSA vz58. Chrome bore (will last a lot longer), factory-tapped receiver for optics mount, way better finish, all parts are newly manufactured and does not have the "gremlin" problem that's been quite common in CZ858s.

That being said, stay away from the CSA vz58 in .223, ONLY get the 7.62 x 39.
Their .223s have a lot of issues, and this is the main reason why there are a lot of CSA haters out there. But their 7.62 is just as reliable as the CZs.
