Does Korth/Leupold warranty really cover everything? Post your experience!

About 20 years ago I had a bent tube on a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5 x 10 from the rifle being dropped, obvious owner error. I sent it off to Korth and 2 weeks later a new one arrived in the mail. Made me a believer in their warranty. WK

I sent a mark 4 scope to Korth last year, I thought the POI was shifting. They checked and field tested, sent it back to me with a report in 2~3 weeks. Cost to me was just the postage to them.

It is good to see the honest responses here.
But, in all fairness there are other choices and that is what makes being a consumer fun.
Being able to read true stories of success and being able to test the merit behind those stories.
Besides being a true fan of Leupold I know there are scopes out there like Leica, Swarovski and Kahels to name but a few.
Problem is I can not afford those scopes and Leupold sits atop my rifles ....even if I could afford those mentioned named scopes it would be very hard for me to swap over at this stage of my life as the use they get would not warrant such a lavish scope.
Tight Groups,
Rob

Care to elaborate? I'm thinking about switching my 3gun and hunting optics to leupold because of the quality and most importantly the warranty process.

of course i can.

i had three scopes to be fixed that were not holding zero. i sent them there and they said nothing was wrong and sent them back to me with a little target for each of them. i got a note too asking why i had leupold coming from Germany and USA (legally imported). (it was before their ban on not doing the warranty work on leupold products purchased out of Canada).

i sent the three to Leupold USA and they fixed it at no cost. so something was wrong but they (korth) didnt want to do anything with ...

Leupold doesn't hold the monopoly on good service. I recently had a 25 year old Swarovski that was missing the eagle logo. They sent me shipping labels, and I had it back in 4 weeks. They tore it apart and replaced some lenses and erector system, along with logo. Nothing was wrong with scope but they said they'd inspect and service anyhow. No charge. I'd say that's pretty good.

Sent in a Mark AR 1-4 I got off EE from a seller who failed to disclose that the objective lens had several occlusions.

Followed directions on website of how to submit for warranty. Was about to call as I knew it had been delivered but hadn't received a call from their technician yet but it was in my mailbox like brand new; turn around of approx 2wks. Cost me shipping to them.

Thank you Korth.

Over the years sent them 2 scopes. first one, I had broken (don't lean rifles against anything.... lie them down cause that's where they are going to end up anyway). If you do lean them against something and they fall and you can't turn the elevation dial because some dummy bent it, don't try to turn it with a vice grip( you will separate the turret from the scope tube, oh s&*^%!..... I was pretty young when I pulled that stunt. Told them what had happened. they fixed it no charge. Sent a scope to them last winter that I hadn't used for years and the adjustments were "froze". they sent me back a new scope.

So I say A+++ for Korth
