Those units are restricted to LE and military only in states
so what about in Canada ??

Anyone know?

I'm not 100% on this, but I think those lasers are powerful enough to cause permanent eye damage, and because of that they are not civilian legal.

Well but I read the laser pointer forme and peolpe said there is no restriction for high power
laser pointer in Canada

But there is the law to not point it to aircraft to do so will subject to $20000 fine or maybe some jail time

What do you plan on doing with an IR laser? Do you have a IR camera to see it?

I am not planing to do anything with them

I've been on the lookout for these for a while.

Class 1 lasers are getting easier to find. Class 3 should be the next step.
