Does the magazine exemption still apply to stock Lee Enfields?

I am pretty clear on what is on the list or not...spent way to much time going over it. My main point I guess is this time it feels different. In previous rounds of legislation there was at least an attempt to receive and entertain input. The AR-15 and M1 Garand as 2 examples. The AR in no large part through input from the DCRA and the important part it played in National Level Service Rifle Competitions and the M1 being excepted from the 5 round semi ban. We now seem to have reached a point of no return.

Clearly, the Liberal government and their NDP lackeys and lickspittles don't give two f@cks what Canadians think. They have lost the moral authority to govern a long time ago.

How is the P14 banned? Are you saying it's a variant of the Mauser sporter or that it's capable of discharging more than 10,000 joules? Either way that's a bit of a stretch.

What do you think A-square and others used as base rifles for builds?

Sure...it will be interesting to see to see what further regulations flow from the final law. Remember the mandate letter to the Min of Public safety said

Requiring the permanent alteration of long-gun magazines so that they can never hold more than five rounds;
Banning the sale or transfer of magazines capable of holding more than the legal number of bullets;

There was no mention of this just being semi-auto in the letter...not sure they are done yet

They are not done yet, three things remain un-said and un-done on the immediate Liberal checklist:

- 3" thick cast iron vaults and/or central storage as the only way to comply with 'safe storage'.

- prohibiting any magazine or firearm and nerf gun that could, or ever did, hold more than 5 rounds. Heck let's make it even better and cap it at three.

- funding and price list to 'buy-back' the OIC firearms, and now a much bigger problem with the hundreds of thousands and maybe even millions more prohibited under C-21. Well, not much of a problem if you are so dirty you ban without compensation which is where I expect this is going.

No point of trying to figure out what is or isn't banned on their always expanding list(s).

In theory, as long as there is a single bolt action rifle on that list, other bolt action rifles could quickly become "variants".
No point of even trying to make sense of this.

Spread awareness, educate people, write to your MP''s and support your gun orgs instead.

Interesting that this government claims to be getting “weapons of war” out of the hands of civilians but is now considering the Lee Enfield and other military issue bolt actions as exemptions. Their claim falls apart when they consider to permit these guns use but ban the AR15 which is certainly NOT a military weapon and never was.
