Does the norinco nick the brass like the mini 14?

I want to reload for a norinco ar15 and I wonder if the norinco will nick the brass on the side of the case like the mini 14.

The mini 14 does an ejector ding on all cases when ejecting.... I wonder how this affects the brass for reloading?

What about the norc, or other ar15s?

Mini14 dings the brass quite noticably. Reloading these brass cases, I've never seen any issues up to the 6th reload. I usually crush my mini14 brass after six reloads due to fear of case head seperation. I suspect the norc will be much easier on brass and you may be able to get far more reloads out of a brass case.

The Mini14 cycles very violently, the gun needs an adjustable gas system, there is way too much gas hitting the piston head. There are a couple companies that make an adjustable gas block for it that would greatly improve the rifle for a reloader.

I've never fired a Norinco AR but neither of my AR's ding the brass so the norc is probably no different.

DI AR15s seem to be pretty gentle when it comes to case extraction.... Regardless of where the rifle was built...

When it comes to piston guns in .223 like the Mini 14 or Robinson XCR, you will see a lot of dented necks. Not sure if a piston AR will do the same...

Anyway, the Norc will be just as gentle as any other DI AR15.
