Just got some Hogue grips. 3/16" thin aluminum and desert tan rubbers. Only problem is I dont have the proper screws yet for the the thins. I am gonna guess they are pretty common in all sorts of colors?

So which is ###ier??

Stock grips.

I think both the hogue look good but for different reasons.

the tan ones are a more subdued, while the aluminum are more out there. I would be o.k. with either. I can see the aluminum looking dirty tho, if you use them lots.

Of the 3, I prefer the stock grips.

Of the 2 Hogue units, the tan rubber looks better IMO.

Have you seen the new Crimson Trace G10 grips for 1911's ? They do look "fat" though. LoL

And the Master series Rosewood grips are exquisite.

I prefer the stock grips. Not a fan of the white hogues. Maybe on a stainless 1911 but look out of place on your pistol. Nice 1911 no matter what it's wearing.

I look forward to playing dress up Barbie with her in the future. I have 2 spare grips now. Oh darn, that means I gotta look for a couple more 1911 to model them on... :)

I do like the stock grips but they are a tad think for my hands and too thick and abbrassive for her hands... the grips I mean.

Anyone know what the screws are called that I require for the thin grips to fit? Where I can buy?

This could be a trick question. I think the OP is a member of the estrogen conspiracy squad and she got lost on the way to the dress section. All married or similar men know to avoid the "does this dress make me look fat" question. I plead the fifth!!:dancingbanana:

hogue alumathins.

i have seen a remington R1 enhanced with some hogue alumanum gunsite edition grips those were badass. similar to the ones you have but with the gunsite eagle logo in the middle with wingspan vertically oriented
