Does this bother anyone else?

I'm looking at Armalites AR-10 Super SASS rifles, wanting to build my AR-10B series into one, I'm having trouble with the handguard the retaining ring leaves a space, is there anyway to make it into a constant top rail? I want to keep the rifle all Armalite, besides the barrel is larger and the gas block is selectable from silenced to no silencer.
It a. 850 I believe, just figured I'd ask if anyone had tried anything or could offer any incite lol
