So I'm pretty new to reloading so forgive me if this is a dumb question.
When I initially set up my press for reloading 9mm, I set the OAL to 1.145. It's a little longer than what was suggested in some of my books but it seemed to cycle well through my CZ. I was loading with federal primers, 124 g Campro rn bullets and 4.0 grains of titegroup. My power factor ended up being 132 so I was good to go for IPSC production. The rounds feed through my gun with no issue but when I had to clear the chamber of a round I found that it was hard to get the load to eject. After looking at the rounds and how they fit into my barrel, some more experienced guys and myself came to the conclusion that the round was a bit too long.
I found some articles on determining OAL for your gun and after following them I found that a more ideal length was 1.120
I made up some test rounds with less powder figuring that I was creating more pressure but it turns out that I still need 4.0 grains of TG to get 130 PF.
Is that possible Or do you think my crony is wrong. The first crony used was my buddies and now I'm using one I bought. They are both shooting cronys Alfa version.
