I had a user pm me about a pistol for sale He asked to pick it up on the way to some place northern alberta I assumed he ment pick up at my house ... I replied by saying I need payment before I start transfer and we can meet at any range to pick it up ... as soon as I said this he backed out quickly user has 0 post and 0 trade rank

Some people are just too impatient for thier own good. Overheard a potential RPAL purchase that ended without a sale. Because the potential buyer was not willing to wait for more than one day for the transfer and registration. No sale. Your situation sounds rotten because an RPAL holder should be more informed about rules & regulations.

Your gut is generally right 99.9% of the time. Sadly people dont listen to it as often as they should. Definitely walk away from that deal.

Yeah 0 rating is usually a no with me as well... and I never have people meet me at my home unless I know who they are. Mailing can be sufficient for restricted firearms. Non res & ammo / accessories - can meet in a public location.

0 trading rating doesn't usually scare me out of a deal but the home pick up part sounds fishy. Don't need to have my address on some burglar shopping list.

I wouldn't touch it with someone else's ten foot pole.

^^ How did you know it was that long?
Seriously, this is absolutely fishy. The buyer is as best misinformed and at worst a criminal or cop on a fishing expedition. If all is not 100% aboveboard, I stay away from a deal.
