My Dad was talking about a Stevens tube fed gun he had. He said it wasa semi auto and a push of a button it was single shot. I asked if it had the Gills and he said yes. Could it be a Stevans 87B??? If so, in nice shape what do they go for?

i seen them $150-200 asking price. Most were in nice shape. It was also sold as Springfield 87A. There is one for sale on EE for $175

You are correct - i just traded one away about 3 months ago... The "button" is actually the cocking handle that on most can be pushed through to lock it in place so it will not function as semi so that you can shoot low powered LR, L, or S ammunition. Do not try and shoot anything other than full power LR as semi auto or expect a lot of brass getting stuck or failure to feed. I kinda miss her but they are definitely out there, I picked mine up at auction for $125 a year ago. Also referred to as "Gill Gun" or "Click Clack gun" - there are some great references online.

Mow that you mention it, he did say it was something with the handle that made it from semi-auto to manual. I see one for trade only on EE
