Just curious how many clubs operate year round, vs closing for the winter. Of course the climate on Vancouver Island , or the Okanogan, is much different from Northern Alberta or Saskatchewan, which could be a factor. We operate to -12 wind chill, and have missed one day so far because of the cold. Today I will head over and clean the skeet field, as tomorrow will supposedly be -5.

I shoot at two clubs in south Ontario (Windsor area) The Windsor Sportsmans Club (trap and skeet) closes in the winter because there in city limits beside a railroad line and have to put up shot curtains.
Those got wrecked in years past because of winds.
This year they put up dirt mounds but the CFO has to approve it. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 there are trying to be finished early next year and then can stay open year round.

Amherstburg Shooting Sports (Trap and 5 stand) is open year round.

Worse part is not over supposed to get hit again Sunday night to Monday might need divers gear soon ,feel for the Abby guys :(

I just joined the Penfield Trap and Skeet club. They shoot every Saturday all year and Mondays in summer. Small club. 50 members. They had the annual Christmas pot luck today taking memberships for 2026. $60 per year.

ELGC and EESA in Ontario are 365 Dusk til Dawn. Indoors 24/7

EESA Trap Sundays 12-4.
Rain, Sleet, Snow, Thunder, Meatballs, Locusts, etc will not be reason for shut down. Late enough in the morning that folks can still make Sunday morning service and play the game.
