Doing some work with the .308

Been doing some load work with the .308 since I have done a free float stock and a trigger. I think I found a load I will stick with.

CCI 200 Primers
45gr Varget
175gr SMK
Winchester brass neck sized

Here is a "group" at 431 yards. There was an inconstant wind so I am not worried about the horizontal spread. But I am very happy with the vertical spread

Here is a video of my wife shooting the .308 This is only the 2nd round she has ever shot with this rifle, First one was a HIT and then I got out the video camera.

Very nice shooting, and very promising results. You are correct to use vertical spread as a good proxy for precision.

Patching holes in your target must be slow ;-)

Nice practical drop chart you've made. Tape it to the side of your rifle or onto your rangefinder and you could leave your phone in your pocket.
