Greets!

So I want my SKS to go the distance and have decided to stay away from corrosive ammo, personal choice. I am looking for a cheap ammo to shoot and fairly accurate as this SKS is a shooter. I have seen Dominion FMJ and hollow points on Canada Ammo for a reasonable price and am curious what others have experienced with this ammo. Feedback appreciated :)

I believe it us repackaged LCW ammo, there are a few threads on that ammo. Its reliable ammo and accuracy for me has been similar to czech surplus.

Fantastic stuff! I have shot almost 4000 rounds of it. Both FMJ & HP. The best thing is, it's non-corrosive. I have almost 3000 rounds of it in the safe(s). All of my milsurps and the VZ58 love the stuff. But it's not for LR. Out to 300 yards, ok. But beyond that, not so good.

Not that there's anything wrong with shooting non corrosive ammo but corrosive ammo won't damage your rifle if you clean it after shooting it. Hell that's what the sks has been shooting for decades and they're still decent shooters.

Not having to clean the same day is nice though, once I finish the crate of Romanian surplus I'm shooting I'll be switching to non corrosive for a bit. Surplus ammo is just so bloody cheap though so unless I get a smoking deal on more non corrosive I'll be back on the surplus as I like to blast away and not think about cost.

Thank you for the feedback guys. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with corrosive but the feature of being able to wait a day to clean the rifle is times just isn't on your side is kinda nice. 2-300 yards is plenty far for me lol. Canada Ammo the best price?

By a wide margin.

dominion is good, shot 1000 of it, after that I went to the copper wash norinco non corrosive. both are great.. I get better accuracy with the copper wash steel core.

Keep your eyes open for one of Canam's 4 for the price of 3 ammo deals and stock up on dominion or norc x39, doesn't get much cheaper than that.

^^^iirc it's copper washed, steel core with a bi metal jacket.

steel core, copper wash steel jacket.
