Dominion Arms Cougar and Remington 1100 parts compatibility?

Could anyone who'd know please tell me about how compatible the 2 guns are?

Will barrels interchange freely and work and function between the 2 guns?

Are the stocks and forends the same, with no adjustments needed?

Sidesaddles?

Extensions?

Etc.

Are they exact clones like the Norinco 870 clones? Or a bit different and metric?

I belive the parts to be interchangeable.... Be aware that the cougar is garbage.

I know the answer. Chinese guns (and many other items) tend not to be particularly in spec.

Remington would have used gauges and tools to make the 1100 time right, precise dimensions etc. A precision made, balanced machine.

The Chinese items...are generally somewhat similar looking but not made to the same quality or function.

The Ithaca 37 clones of a few years ago were a case in point.
