dominion arms cougar semi auto 12g any good??

was thinking of picking one of these cougar semi auto 12g but was wondering if anybody already had one that could tell me if they were reliable and quality before i spent the $ .....are they just as good as the remington 1100 that its a clone of? im mostly concerned with reliability

They might need some tikering to get them just right but they're not bad after you break them in better no but they work.

do they cycle reliably? i kinda wanted to turn it into a tactical shotty on the cheap (urbino stock,plugged mag extension)

I've looked into this myself and it seems you're better off picking up a cheap used Remington 1100 when they pop up on the EE.

For a tactical build with an extended mag tube, note that the 1100 is only chambered for 2.75" shells, so the mag tube can only fit five 2.75" shells legally. Other semi-autos are chambered for 3" shells, so you can get a mag tube that fits five 3" shells, or six 2.75" shells.
