Hello I just received a Dominion arms grizzly 12.5 with ghost sights and it came with no rear sling mount on the stock. There is a brass threaded insert in the stock, the front sling mount is there but not the rear. Are the new models not coming with the rear sling mounts anymore?
P.S. awesome AR pen!

I CAN NOT stand the smell of the rubber recoil pad on the norc stocks. I swap out the stocks ASAP. (Good quality plastics though!)

I just checked and I have the stock in the basement, with swivel stud. I can mail you the stud free of change if you PM your address.

The plastic trigger gaurd doesn't bother me. I have a Rem 870 express I bought 8 years ago with a plastic trigger gaurd and I've never had any problems with it especially considering that I've treated it like a shotgun and not a piece of jewelry. At first I did have reservations about synthetic stocks/parts but my 870 has proven me wrong. It seems like the rougher I am with it the happier it is!

My brother got his yesterday and he says..quote "Its like someone dragged the tip of the front sight on the pavement for a few inches." Ive asked for a photo.... i have no idea what his idea of damaged is..could be superficial (?).

Ive yet to see it but if its bad I'd like to think we could get that looked at. The box was torn before he got it, could be a delivery issue.

As far as the brass threaded insert on the rear stock, will one of the standard Canadian Tire screw-in slings work for this? any of you try? What is the threading on that? some way to make it work?

Brother sent me those photos I asked for.
I'd have to say yup damaged in shipping and its kinda superficial. If it was me I'd ask for $20 credit or something rather than ship it back (across Canada...and back again...what's that $80?) but IDK.

He has "gun fever" now and this is his 1st ever gun purchase so he's a bit picky. He does have several other guns all picked out, lol...wants a handgun for the bedroom, a "sniper" rifle for plinking (I keep pushing M14, he keeps saying Remington SPS tactical ...meh).... I hope he isnt too put off. Gun looks pretty good imo.

Anyway I've attached ALL his photos just for eye candy. (grease and grime still on gun, fresh out of box, fyi). The front sight post is a bit off but hey its a shotgun.... not sure what he will do. Photos here:

UPDATE:

My question:
how could the front site post be damaged during shipping if the styrofoam protector was still on it?

His reply:
was still on the gun but bashed through. end of barrel was sticking out of damaged box

Shipping did the damage for sure...

your're more high tech than me...I'd have a dab of tremclad rust paint on it

LOL

I rounded off the corners of my front sight with a file. It wasn't 'sharp' but the edges would snag the inside of the scabbard and make it hard to pull out without tearing the nylon up. I also rounded the ejection and loading port edges to make them a little more finger friendly. (tube fed version) I haven't been bothered to touch up the parkerizing. Maybe I'll get around to it if my cold blue kit isn't all dried up, and I can find it.

LOL your brother is very picky. Its a cheap shotgun, not a Ferrari. Now tell me more about the flashlight forend. Will it accept a standard 1" flashlight? How is the quality?

For $300 or so I could live with the sight like that. If it was a Rem 870 or something higher end id be upset (im way more picking with my 870 than I am with my Grizz) but on a DA... its not really a big deal. Hopefully it will get used enough that the rest of the marks will cover up anything that was there when he got it. Cause thats the point of a gun like this.

I've not seen it and I've not heard from him. I dont even know what if anything he will do about that ding.

If he is lazy he will bring it down for me to strip and clean and swap out the pump so ill know more then :)

Mine came with sling swivel, my box was also damaged holes I'm the box in 2 places. But shotgun seemed to be in normal greasy chinese condish.
