OK, I've already been told more than once that the Dominion Arms Grizzly isn't much of a shotgun. Has anyone here had a good experience with these Chinese guns? Are they reliable and reasonably well built? Or am I better off just forgetting about buying one?

Also, after checking a number of CGN sponsors, I haven't found a Dominion Arms Grizzly with an 8.5" barrel in stock. Does anyone know of someone that has one of these for sale? Drop me a PM if you want.

Some guy's like them.
You might have better luck posting this in the Forum "below" this one.

I've got a 14" barrel one. Works good. Never used the 8.5" barrel shotty though, and probably won't. I imagine the shortest I would go would be 10 or 12 inches.

What is the muzzle blast like compared to say a 18" or 20" barrel. I have tenitis and I wonder how loud it would be without hearing protection ? Painful or tolerable ???

I had the 12.5 with bead sight, overly loud but worked well. After putting 100shells through her she got alot more smooth mechanically.

I have no issues with them, the reciever is built like a tank.

I have shot a friends with lower powered slugs and shot loads, with a hogue pistol grip on. It was pretty fun, but it does have some pop to it. so I would get some forward grip on and it would be great. I also found you need to giver a good pump to shuck the hull out, but other than that its cool.

I bought a used DA Grizzly with a 12.5" bbl and the tube magazine.

I find the gun to be like any other 870. It is smooth, slick and never jams.

The Grizzly is well suited to brush hunting and shoots all brands of rifled slugs very accurately. Ten (10) slugs punched me out a 3 inch diameter hole in a piece of cardboard at 30 yards.

I really like the Williams style ghost ring sights. The quick acquisition peep sights and the really short snout make this gun a real fast pointer.

I don't have a bad thing to say about this gun after pumping all kinds of bird and buck shot and slugs through it.

to answer got to go the muzzle blast will ruin your hearing and your tinnitus will only get worse. wear ear protection and do your self a favour .the shorter the barrel the louder they are ,or in reverse the longer the barrel the quieter .

Have one in 12.5" and it has had about 600-700 rounds down range (most light loads but a few 3" turkey and a few slugs). I would say it seems to be a very good gun so far. Best part is for the price you pay you don't mind banging it up a bit.
