Anyone with one of these shotguns knows how slippery the forend is. While replacing it is easy enough, for anyone wanting to vastly improve the grip a bit of time spent with a round file will make a world of difference. Here I've done the left half while the right half has the original factory grooves. Use whatever size file you wish but the end result is well worth the time spent. This was just an experiment that turned out much better than I expected.

The big issue with the Grizzly stock set is the weight, it’s the heaviest out of any other options. Iirc when I swapped out the wife’s for a hardwood 870 stock, it was a pound heavier.

I'm not a fan of the Magpul but do like the Remington police forend as well as the Hogue. The Grizzly buttstock must be made of lead. No idea of the material used but I've never seen anything that heavy.

Makes a good boat anchor lol.

The Houge stock set is good, while I’m not a fan of the 870 Magpul stock set’s looks everyone seems to love the ergo’s of it.
