ok.. i am looking for a new slug gun. think this can work and would it shoot 3" mag slugs?

No reason why it wouldn't work. Just not the usual question we get on this side of the shotgun fence, I suppose. I doubt a whole lot of black and green shotgun blasters, are looking for a way to spend $2 per shell. Most here are more likely to think turning trap loads into lee slugs and reloading them, is cooler than real sabot slugs (myself included ). You'd likely get a fair bit more useful input asking in the sporting section. Unless you're just fabulously rich, and are going to run this in some IPSC 3-gun competitions, that is.

Grizzly mags are designed to be used with 2 3/4 shells. They might work with 3". Warning is on the Canada ammo site.

If you are using this for hunting your have to plug the mag so you gun should hold no more than 3 rds (at lease in Ontario here).

Unless there is a special love for detach mag otherwise a H&R ultra slug hunter is a much better slug gun for hunting, a lot more accurate and possibly cheaper by the time you buy a grizzly and a rifled barrel.

If you wouldn't mind spend little more the savage bolt is great (offer in both 12 and 20 ga) or the Browning A bolt if money is not an object.

i have a Encore 12Ga Rifled Barrel right now. and a Rem 870 Slug gun. that i both use.

i would not have to plug the mag for where i hunt and when.
