You didn't miss anything. The 12.5" was $299, ghost ring version with choke tube, $309. I guess the extra work to tool up for the 8.5" and marketability of the cool factor added $100. For those of us in Ontario, we also just paid GST in pre HST days.

They're still a great deal. I think that the sights, choke tube and sling swivels in 12.5" is lots of gun for the money.
 
And it is worth every of those 100 dollars, what a cool shotgun to shoot, with a slug at 25 metres it is explodind every clays pidgeon, very good accuracy for such a short barrel... JP.
 
My grizz is on the bottom with wing master wood on it. the mag tube is a big bigger OD then the 870 so you will have to enlarge the hole to get it on the grizz.
Mine must have close to 500 rounds through it and it's never failed to go bang. It is my truck gun..
